They are seeking 4-5 students majoring in Marketing, Sales, Sports Management, Business or related fields.
Jobs:
Golf Courses: Having four golf communities in town (Mallard Creek, The Country Club of Oxford, The Links, and The Ole Miss Golf Course) makes Oxford a prime place to apply for jobs. There are several opportunities at the course, such as working in the pro shop, being a cart attendant, or even serving as a caddy. Be sure to regularly check the courses’ websites or give them a call!
Restaurants: Oxford is full of good places to eat. It seems like a new restaurant is popping up around town every day. This makes restaurants an ideal place to hunt for jobs. Two restaurants in town that are actively seeking summer employees are Mugshots and McDonald’s. Mugshots is a sports bar and grill known for their juicy hamburgers. They will be hiring waiters/waitresses and hosts/hostesses. McDonald’s, on the other hand, staple fast food restaurant that we are all way too familiar with. Their menu has everything and they are in need of help!
Oxford Wine & Spirits: Oxford Wine and Spirits is a local liquor store located off of College Hill Road. This is not your average liquor store; they have a unique luxurious feel and an exceptional selection of wine and spirits. If your child is looking for summer employment, this is an option they should consider. To apply, stop by the store and fill out an application.
Housing Complexes: With the student population at Ole Miss increasing every year, more and more student housing complexes are being built across town. Complexes such as the Retreat, Uncommon, the Domain, and the Hub are looking for staff members to join their teams. To apply and stay updated on their positions, visit their websites, check their social media pages, or give them a call!
Staying in Oxford for the summer has many perks. Many locals say you can enjoy the small town even more when the roads have less cars and the square is not as noisy. Having a job or internship allows students to hang around longer while earning an income. The jobs and internships listed here are just a few of the many summer employment opportunities in Oxford. If your student is interested in staying in town, encourage him or her to look and ask around for open positions.
