Recruitment week is quickly approaching! If your daughter is planning on rushing, she’s probably already thinking about her hair, makeup and outfit for each round of recruitment. To take some of the stress off of her (and you), we have some tips for where to get rush ready in Oxford!
There are various clothing stores on the Square that have perfect rush outfits for your daughter. For the first two rounds of recruitment, your daughter will be provided with a T-shirt to wear. For the last two rounds (sisterhood and preference), girls typically wear a dress or skirt to each house. Check out Neilsons, Frock and Hinton & Hinton on the Square to complete your daughter’s rush week wardrobe!
Also located on the Square, Zoe has a huge selection of makeup and beauty products to make your daughter look and feel beautiful for recruitment. It’s important to feel confident during recruitment week, and Zoe has all the cosmetics to make sure your daughter does! Stop by the store on the Square and see their wide selection of hair and skin products, fragrances and accessories.

Katherine Beck, Lily Pad and Olive Juice are currently taking preorders for Bid Day baskets and Rush Happies! If you’re unfamiliar with what these are, they are gift baskets customized for your daughter and her new greek affiliation. If you order a Bid Day basket, your daughter will run home to her sorority house at the end of recruitment week and she’ll have a basket of gifts and accessories with her new sorority letters waiting for her! When I was a freshman going through recruitment, I wish my parents had known about Happies and Bid Day baskets because majority of the girls in my pledge class had a gift waiting for them.
