Summer is only a few days away and it’s time to make summer plans! Is your student taking classes? Traveling? Relaxing by the pool? In need of a job? Well, we can help with one of those…. Getting a summer job in Oxford!
Summer in Oxford is far more relaxing, laid-back and empty compared to a regular semester. And with a majority of Ole Miss students leaving for the summer, it’s a great opportunity to snag a summer job! Take a look at a few opportunities here for the summer:
Uncommon, a student housing complex located steps from the square, is looking for an upbeat, goal-oriented and highly motivated individual as a part of their leasing team. Team members will be responsible for promoting the Uncommon brand around the community and on social media. They will also greet and answer all resident and guest inquiries, give tours to prospective clients, lease properties and assist in other office duties such as answering phones and emails.
Ole Miss is looking for game day event staff. Positions include security, ushering and retail staff for all Ole Miss sporting events. Part-time retail associates are responsible for delivering an exceptional fan shopping experience for everyone that walks through our doors. If your student is in search of an internship, utilize the Ole Miss Career Center, as well as postings from the dean of their particular school. Each school has its own website and will often update any internship or other job opportunities as they come. Also, Handshake is an app used to connect students to local or sponsored internship opportunities.
