Things To Do in Oxford

In Oxford, it seems like there’s always something to do, whether it be a sporting event, Double Decker or some sort of other Ole Miss or Oxford event, it’s never boring here. However, its always fun to do something unique and different. Below, you’ll find a list of some fun and different things to do around town, some of which many people don’t know about!

ARTS

Here, you can paint a variety of signs, clocks, trays, etc. It is a really fun thing to do with a group and they offer a variety of themed classes, as well as the opportunity to book private events!

Clay Canvas has been in Oxford for many years and remains a staple. It is a fun place to paint your own pottery or canvas, purchase some pieces or take pottery classes. Definitely worth checking out!

Try saying that five times fast! The local arts council offers tons of activities throughout the year, my personal favorite being the art crawl. How could riding around on the double decker bus to all of the local art galleries for free wine and food not be fun!?

ATHLETICS

The official Ole Miss Golf Course is known to have great greens and has the opportunity for student memberships, for your son or daughter that would love to golf in spare time!

Oxford Park Commission offers free tennis facilities to the public. The facilities are clean and conveniently located on Molly Barr Road,

Again, not something I have ever tried, but I have friends who have been and say its a blast! There's also a mini golf course!

ON A NICE DAY

Home of William Faulkner and an Oxford classic, Rowan Oak is a beautiful place to explore on a nice day. If you haven't visited already, I recommend checking it out!

Located on University Ave, Oxford Community Market is a great place to pick up local produce or skim through all of the unique vendors. It is every Tuesday 3-6:30pm.
