My Experience Interning with POM

I began my internship with Parents of Ole Miss right before the website was launched. So I have been here, quite literally, from the very beginning. Getting to experience the growth of a startup like Parents of Ole Miss has been pretty unbelievable.

It’s one of those things that make me think, “How have we never had this before?”

POM truly is an incredible resource for Ole Miss parents, and it is even useful for students as well. I will catch myself logging on to the website when I need advice on particular topics. Being able to go online and get advice from a local’s perspective is something that I wish I had when I was a freshman.

Now that I am graduating in just a few short weeks and my internship is coming to an end, I am so thankful that I had the opportunity to work for this company and get to know the people behind POM. Kate is the definition of a girl boss. She has so many creative ideas, and she doesn’t take no for an answer. She has your best interest at heart, and you can count on her to give her most honest opinion. I think that’s what makes Parents of Ole Miss so authentic.

Since my first day with POM, this entire experience has been super hands on. I have had the opportunity to create real work and see the real results. I know I will take what I learned here with POM and bring it with me to my next job.

With that being said, we are now accepting applications for both 662 Marketing and POM Summer Internships. If your student is interested in a hands on internship in the marketing or communications field, have them send in their resume to info@662marketing.com.
