I am so fortunate to follow several Ole Miss Parent private groups on Facebook and see all the questions/concerns you all have about life as an Ole Miss Parent. I’m sure by now, you figured out that was my inspiration in starting this website. So while I’m about 10 years shy of having a college student myself, I feel straddled somewhere between still feeling 21 years old (because when you have a whole new flock of freshman every year here in Oxford, it keeps you young, right?) and a concerned mom of “what could potentially happen” to my child.
I won’t pretend to know everything about being a mom to a college students, but I can say, sitting with my college-aged workers everyday here at POM, I hear A LOT. I won’t throw them under the bus with some of their stories but I do feel like I’m here to be a “mom” to them, too, while they are away from home. It’s really fun watching them learn and put the pieces of life together.
