Orientation: Empty Nester's Night

So much excitement is surrounding many of you parents who have graduating high school seniors as you both embark on this next chapter of y’all’s lives. And we here at POM are really excited to help you start this new chapter!

So, if you haven’t already registered for one of this summer’s orientation sessions, you can now by clicking here and logging into your student’s “My Ole Miss Account.” And of course, you’ll want to stay at an amazing hotel (at a very affordable price.) Remember, The Inn at Ole Miss rates start at just $109 per night and is literally where Orientation sessions are housed. The Graduate is another fab choice, placed directly on the Square with stunning views and a very posh setting.

The 2017-2018 Orientation Schedule is available here (they won’t be releasing this year’s schedule until you check-in on the first day of orientation, but its promised that it won’t be too different from 2017-2018). So, the schedule is jam packed for both your student and yourself the first day. (Blue is for students, green is for both students/parents and red is for parents only.)

What you don’t see on the official schedule, is the amazing event POM is hosting for you at the very end of day 1 for each and every orientation session during May, June and July! We are inviting every single one of you awesome new parents to come to our “Empty Nester’s Cocktail Hour” at the Coop, the Graduate Hotel’s rooftop bar. No pun intended… Empty Nest… at the Coop? This is the perfect place to meet and greet fellow rising freshman parents, over a well-deserved cocktail atop Oxford’s best view of the Square. You’ll have a chance to make some Ole Miss friends and unwind after a busy day. We’ll even be joined by some Oxford and Ole Miss celebrities at each event!

So go ahead and save the date for 7pm the evening of your first orientation day (don’t worry, your student will be busy at the Hotty Toddy Hangout). Stay as long as you like, we here at POM want to give you a warm Oxford welcome and get to know you! Hotty Toddy!
